Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.Proverb 3, 5-6
Numerous times, I have found myself in the situation where I had to remind myself that God has a plan for me and that God wants me to live my dream life. As any parent, He wants to give His children everything that they ask of Him. But, as most humans do, I would get attached to a scenario that I created in my head and put so much effort in making my life go my way. I would get so caught up in the situation and wonder how could God not see the solution the way that I do. Sometimes I would even chime in on how to orchestrate events so that God could see my logic on how my dreams could come to pass. Little did I know that God never needed my help. As Joel Osteen would say, “Friends, God is the Creator of the Universe — He’s got it! All we have to do is trust in His plan for us.”
Accepting the possibility that God is for us and not against us can be liberating. If things are not unfolding as you have planned, remember, that God may be taking you another way to your dream so that your dream — the big picture for your life, whether it’s marriage, career, family, business, or all of the above — is protected and achieved. Even when the path feels thorny, He is there to help you grow and get you through it. All we have to do is trust in His plan for us.
